This did not stop him, His desire to expand his talent was inspired by such artist as Boris Vallejo, Frank Frazetta, and many others. He practiced as much as he could. He bought books and studied them with a passion. Many who view his work are amazed to see how his talent has grown. He has had commissions to do portraits and paintings for collectors. His genre has varied over the years from fantasy to history and the bible. Roland says he paints because it brings him so much pleasure and even greater joy when people admire his work.
