About the Detroit Artists Market Founded in 1932, the Detroit Artists Market supported local artists by showing and selling their work, and also by giving the public an accessible and affordable venue to view and collect art. Entering our 77th Exhibition Season, the Detroit Artists Market uniquely continues this mission by providing top-quality exhibitions and special programs to promote local contemporary art. Exhibitions and programs at the Detroit Artists Market are made possible with the generous support of The Kresge Foundation, the Erb Family Foundation, the Hudson-Webber Foundation, and with additional support from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, Gyro Creative and our DAM members.
