2008 Summer Craft Market

The Detroit Artists Market presents the 2008 Summer Craft Market, which runs Friday, July 25th through Saturday, August 23rd, 2008.  The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) invites all to join us at the opening reception on Friday, July 25, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  DAM Members can enjoy a special preview of the Summer Craft Market on that day from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The opening reception will feature a demonstration by chainsaw artist Mike Weiss. 

The DAM Summer Crafts Market expands the boundaries of last year’s highly successful ceramics market by adding wood artists to the mix.  More than forty selected local artists have created beautiful pieces that express the transformative nature of these two most basic of media – clay and wood. 

A market-style show, the DAM Summer Crafts Market offers a wide range of price points for both functional and non-functional ceramics and wood.  Whether adding to your collection, looking for the perfect gift, or seeing first-hand the works of diverse talents,  there is something here for everyone.
