Bill Schahfer

I came to photography fairly recently, looking for a creative outlet after years spent in software development. My wife and I were both born in metro Detroit and met at Wayne State, where we both majored in Computer Science. After graduation we bounced between North Carolina, Michigan and Maryland, eventually resettling here in the Detroit area. Family is strong here, and we wanted that sense of community as we raised our children. We have two sons, ages 30 and 25; one is an educator and budding novelist while the other works in technology and pursues music on the side
