Since 1932 the Detroit Artists Market has been a leader in showing and selling contemporary art works by Detroit area artists.

INVITATION - Garden Party and Art Sale

The Detroit Artists Market is pleased to announce its 2010 Garden Party and Art Sale, taking place this year on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Garden Party and Art Sale is a tradition that began in the 1930s, when the Detroit Artists Market was founded, as a special way of bringing together artists and patrons for a fun and beautiful afternoon. This year features artworks by more than 100 emerging and established local artists and will include paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewelry, glass, ceramics, fiber, and much more.
Please plan to join us at this year’s event! The Garden Party and Art Sale admission is a DAM membership. Membership in the Detroit Artists Market, a nonprofit organization, is easy and affordable. Membership and memberships for guests may be renewed or purchased prior to the event or at the door.
CALL FOR ARTISTS - That DAM Box Show

THAT DAM BOX SHOW2 will run August 10-20, 2010, with an auction event on August 20th. This open call benefit exhibition and silent auction features art works made from film reel boxes. All donated boxes will be exhibited and auctioned with proceeds to benefit the Detroit Artists Market.
All Media Exhibition Opening Reception

The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) is pleased to present its “All Media Exhibition 2010”. Opening April 30, 2010, DAM will host a Public Opening and Awards Reception that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Gallery visitors can meet the artists – and will have an opportunity to view and purchase the wide array of paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media, metal, clay, and glass on exhibit.
Garden Sale CALL FOR ENTRY

The Garden Sale is a DAM tradition from our earliest years, hosted at a local home and offering our members a memorable one-day event in a beautiful outdoor setting. DAM artist members are invited to submit this Call For Entry to be juried into the DAM Garden Sale. There is no jury fee for current DAM members, and artists who are not yet members can join DAM through this call. Opening Reception - Annual Scholarship Awards and Exhibition: Wayne State University

The 2010 Wayne State University Annual Scholarship and Exhibition at the DAM will open on Friday, March 12th with a members’ preview from 6-7 p.m. and the public reception with the artists from 7-10 p.m. The exhibition runs through Saturday, April 17, 2010.

Annual Scholarship Show Call-For-Entry Now Available for WSU Students

The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) is pleased to host the 2010 Wayne State University Scholarship and Exhibition Program. This year the Detroit Artist Market will commemorate and celebrate the Wayne State University-College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts.
DAM would like to invite all currently enrolled WSU sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students from the Department of Art and Art History, including ceramics, drawing, fibers, metals, painting, photography, printing and sculpture to apply for the John F. Korachis Scholarship and Exhibition Program. Several scholarships will be awarded to select students exhibiting masterful execution of concept, design and media expertise. All the scholarship finalists will be invited to exhibit their juried work along with select WSU alumni and faculty at the DAM during this year’s Wayne State University scholarship exhibition.

CALL FOR ENTRY The Annual Holiday Show is open to all DAM Artist members18 years and over. Only original works accepted. No commercial kits, prefabricated models, hobby crafts, or green ware. All prints submitted for jury must be from originals only. DAM reserves the right to reject any entry which is unsuitable in size or fragility, does not meet the guidelines specified, or is not representative of work juried. DAM reserves the right to control artist inventory for an appropriate mix of work. No large scale works. 2D works up to 24”. Most priced under $500 retail.

The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan is providing up to $1 million of general operating support to match gifts designated to support participating arts and cultural organizations made online to the Community Foundation. Opening Reception - DAM Annual Scholarship Awards and Exhibition: College for Creative Studies

The Detroit Artists Market proudly presents its 2009 Annual Detroit Artists Market Scholarship and Exhibition Program that includes the presentation of the scholarship awards to outstanding College for Creative Studies undergraduate students. The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) exhibition will present works by the three scholarship recipients along with the seven other student finalists and many distinguished alumni and faculty. The DAM Scholarship exhibition will open to the public from 7-10 p.m., Friday, March 13, and run through April 18, 2009. This year’s exhibition and scholarship program commemorates the contributions of the world renowned College for Creative Studies and the DAM.
