DAM announces this CALL FOR ENTRY to artists to submit work for consideration for the DAM Small(er) Show . The DAM Small(er) Show runs August 5 - 27, 2011 and will include work in all media and disciplines by DAM members. Each artwork no larger than 8” x 8” x 8” and retail price no more than $ 250.00. A DAM tradition since 1934, the Garden Party and Art Sale features more than 100 Detroit-area artists this year in a special event created for our members. Please join us on Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 4pm - 8pm at a beautiful home in Detroit’s historic Woodbridge neighborhood. DAM announces this CALL FOR ENTRY to artists to submit work for consideration for the 2011 Garden Party and Art Sale. The Garden Party & Art Sale is a DAM tradition from our earliest years. It is a four-hour art sale event, hosted outdoors at a local home. It offers our members a memorable event in a beautiful garden setting. Deadline for entries is Saturday, April 6, 2011. Join us for the Scholarship Awards and Exhibition: Cranbrook Academy of Art Opening Reception on Friday, March 4, 2011. We will host a DAM Members Preview from 6pm – 7pm, and the Public Preview runs from 7pm – 10pm. Music by Joel Peterson and friends.
The Detroit Artist’s Market proudly presents its 2011 Annual Detroit Artists Market Scholarship and Exhibition Program that includes the presentation of the scholarship awards to outstanding Cranbrook Academy of Art graduate students. The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) exhibition will present works by the three scholarship recipients along with the six other student finalists and select alumni. The DAM exhibition will open on March 4, 2011 and run through April 9, 2011.

2011 DAM DESIGNSHOW draws attention to Detroit’s ever-expanding vision of art and design and focuses on the impact local designers have on our lives. This year’s exhibit looks at BATH, from hardware to furnishings to attire. 22 local designers will share their own process of creating items for the bath from sketches to the finished saleable product. During this exclusive opening event, DAM will once again host a runway show, featuring men’s and women’s bath and spa attire created by five of the area’s apparel designers. The 2011 DAM Design Show is sponsored by Masco Corporation , a leader in brand name products for the home, including Delta®, Brizo® and Hansgrohe® faucets, Alsons® showerheads and BrassCraft® plumbing products.
