Evada Davenport (b. 2000, Michigan) is an emerging artist whose practice spans drawing, photography, collage, and painting. She received her BFA in Graphic Design from Eastern Michigan University in 2022, where she also studied photography and graphite and charcoal drawing. After completing her degree, Davenport took a professional hiatus before returning to her studio practice in 2026.

Artist Statement

Davenport's practice moves between drawing, photography, collage, and painting and is informed by her background in graphic design. Rooted in observation and a sensitivity to composition, light, and atmosphere, she creates contemplative images that invite sustained looking. Her work often depicts living subjects and environments in quiet, ambiguous moments that resist fixed narratives. Rather than seeking spectacle or explanation, Davenport encourages viewers to dwell within the feeling of a moment and attend to the subtle emotional and atmospheric qualities that emerge through observation.
