Gallery Ambassador

This opportunity is open to individuals who are age 18+ with a passion for the arts and the advancement of Detroit’s creative community, and is perfect for someone with an interest in supporting or learning about arts administration, gallery management, or related work. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist gallery visitors, providing information about current exhibitions and artists.
  • Answer inquiries about DAM’s history, artists, and upcoming events.
  • Process sales and handle transactions at the gallery’s sales desk.
  • Provide visitor support during educational programs, gallery events, openings, and artist talks

Member Experience

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with some experience in member or community engagement, and interested in creating a positive and personalized experience to support member engagement and retention. By focusing on the member journey, you will help DAM understand the unique needs of our members and develop tailored experiences and services that foster deeper connections and support our mission. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm welcome to new members, including giving tours of the gallery and explaining membership benefits.
  • Solicit member feedback to help DAM develop and enhance membership programs and benefits.
  • Assist with membership drives to help grow and maintain the gallery’s membership base.

Research & Data

This opportunity is open to individuals who are age 18+ with a passion for the arts and the advancement of Detroit’s creative community, and is perfect for someone with an interest in supporting or learning about arts administration, resource development, and community partnerships. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on artists who have exhibited with DAM.
  • Gather data on member and visitor demographics, event attendance, and membership trends.
  • Research potential partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and educational institutions.
