Julianna Sanromán is a multidisciplinary artist based in Detroit, working between painting, installation, and community-based altar practices. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Practice from the College for Creative Studies and is currently a graduate candidate at the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art & Design.

Sanromán explores grief, migration, and the quiet rituals that sustain families across borders. As the daughter of deported parents, she understands separation as an ongoing condition lived in waiting, memory, and the spaces between phone calls. Her practice approaches dreaming as a method of staying connected, where time folds and multiple futures coexist.

Opening Reception: Friday, April 17th 5-8pm

Exhibition Dates: April 17 – May 16, 2026
